Safety Policy

1. Purpose

DG Door Service LLC is committed to maintaining a safe work environment for our technicians,
customers, and the public. This Safety Policy establishes guidelines designed to minimize the risk
of injury, property damage, and unsafe conditions during all phases of garage door inspection,
repair, replacement, and maintenance.

Safety is a shared responsibility, and adherence to these guidelines helps ensure work is
completed efficiently, professionally, and safely.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all DG Door Service technicians, contractors, customers, occupants, and
visitors present at service locations. It applies to residential, commercial, and service-call
environments.

3. Core Safety Principles

Hazard Awareness

Technicians assess job-site conditions before and during work, including high-tension springs,
moving components, electrical systems, structural integrity, access limitations, and
environmental hazards.

Safe Work Practices

All work is performed in accordance with manufacturer specifications, industry best practices,
and applicable OSHA and safety guidelines.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Technicians may use appropriate PPE as required, including eye protection, cut-resistant gloves,
protective footwear, and additional safety equipment when conditions warrant.

Equipment Integrity

All tools, ladders, lifts, and testing equipment are inspected regularly. Damaged or unsafe
equipment is removed from service immediately.

Training & Competency

Technicians receive safety training related to spring tension handling, ladder and fall safety,
lockout/tagout procedures, and customer-site safety protocols.

4. Incident Reporting & Investigation

Immediate Response

First aid will be provided or emergency services contacted for serious incidents.

Documentation & Follow-Up

Incidents are documented internally and reviewed to identify corrective actions and prevent
recurrence.

5. Emergency Response

  • Evacuation Awareness: Technicians remain aware of exits and safe zones.
  • Fire Safety: Fire extinguishers may be carried in service vehicles.
  • Severe Weather: Work may be paused or suspended due to unsafe conditions.

6. Continuous Improvement

DG Door Service LLC regularly reviews safety practices to identify hazards, improve procedures,
and maintain a culture of safety.

7. Customer Site Responsibilities

To help maintain a safe work environment, customers are asked to:

  • Secure pets, children, and bystanders away from the work area.
  • Clear vehicles, tools, and storage items from the garage and immediate exterior area.
  • Provide adequate lighting and electrical access.
  • Disclose known hazards such as unstable structures or electrical issues.

Failure to maintain safe conditions may result in work being delayed, paused, or discontinued.

8. Right to Suspend or Refuse Work

DG Door Service LLC reserves the right to suspend, delay, or refuse service when job-site
conditions are deemed unsafe, inaccessible, or hazardous. Service decisions are based solely on
safety, operational feasibility, and lawful business considerations.
